Fostering open and constructive dialogue between politics, business, academia, and society is of great importance to me. Lucerne Dialogue provides exactly that.

Beat Züsli has been Mayor of Lucerne since 2016. He chairs the five-member executive authority and heads the city's Department of Education. Prior to his election to the city council, Beat Züsli worked as an architect and energy engineer, working for more than 20 years as an independent entrepreneur in the fields of energy planning and energy concepts. He also developed and led various courses and CASs on energy efficiency in construction at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts. From 1998 to 2009, Beat Züsli was a member of the SP parliamentary group in the city parliament, which he chaired in 2007/2008. He was a member of the cantonal council from 2015 to 2016.
