Olivia Lazard is a fellow at Carnegie Europe and a Director at Peace in Design Consulting Ltd.

Her research focuses on the geopolitics of climate, climate change-induced change, and the risks of conflict and fragility related to climate change and environmental collapse.

She has over twelve years of experience in peacebuilding at field and policy levels. Originally specializing in the economics of conflict, she has worked for various non-governmental organizations, the United Nations, the European Union, and donor countries in the Middle East, Latin America, sub-Saharan Africa, and parts of Asia. Her research in the field has focused on understanding how globalization and international economic systems can influence patterns of violence and vulnerability and create new forms of conflict situations that our current governance struggles to address.

Olivia Lazard is a graduate of the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) and completed her International Political Economy studies with a Master of Sciences in 2009.
