General Sir Richard Lawson Barrons is a British Army officer. He was Commander of Joint Forces Command, one of the six Chiefs of Staff of the British Armed Forces, from April 2013 until his retirement in April 2016.

His military career spanned the last decade of the Cold War and leadership from captain to general in military operations in Bosnia, Kosovo, Northern Ireland, Iraq, and Afghanistan - often as part of U.S.-led coalitions and in NATO.
