Dr. Daniel Risch

Prime Minister, Government of the Principality of Liechtenstein

At the Annual Meeting 2024, Daniel Risch will share his thoughts on the state of Europe in a panel discussion and outline the responsibilities of entrepreneurs.

Daniel Risch has been Prime Minister of the Principality of Liechtenstein since March 2021. Risch studied business administration at the universities of St. Gallen, Zurich and Munich. He received his PhD in information systems from the University of Fribourg. From 2006 to 2007, Risch was a visiting scholar at the University of Melbourne. From 2007 he worked at the Swiss e-business consulting firm Unic in Zurich and, as a member of the management team, was responsible for the areas of consulting, marketing, sales and account management and the development of digitalization solutions.


In 2015, Risch returned to his homeland and became a member of the management of Liechtensteinische Post AG and was responsible for stabilizing and processing the foreign e-procurement business. In March 2017, Risch became Deputy Prime Minister and headed the Ministry of Infrastructure, Economy and Sport until he was appointed Deputy Prime Minister in March 2021.
